Alfe Azad originally from New York has lived, studied, and worked in Los Angeles for the past 13 years. With a strong passion for Theatre of the Oppressed, Shakespeare, puppetry and costuming, she is also graduate of the California State University-Northridge with a degree in Theatre and British Literature; where some of her favorite credits include, Dunyazade in Arabian Nights and Peaseblossom in A Midsummer’s Night Dream. With a turn towards technical theatre Alfe has most recently helped design costumes for NYC’s The Secret Theatre’s production of Through the Glade. In addition to theatre Alfe has also spent the last five years in and out of the classroom as a Teacher’s aide, tutor, and most recently as an Drama Enrichment Teacher. She has just recently graduated with an MA from NYU Steinhardt’s Educational Theatre program, where she has had the privilege of studying theatre practices in Puerto Rico and TYA in London, England.
