Zena is a graduate of NYU Tisch School of the Arts, where she earned her BFA in Drama with a minor in Business of Entertainment. In her time at NYU, she founded Unmasked Theatre Company, a company dedicated to using musical theatre to de-stigmatize mental illness. Unmasked Theatre Company was the 2014 NYU Reynolds Changemaker Challenge Best Overall Venture, and has produced three original shows in the past two years. Zena has also worked as a producer and administrator with Tectonic Theater Project and NYU’s Graduate Acting Program, and continues to perform in the NYC area as well. She is honored to be continuing to work on using theater for social justice with Opening Act.
