JOIN POWER OF 20
September 21st – October 10th, 2020
OPENING ACT PROGRAMMING IS MORE CRITICAL THAN EVER
Before the pandemic, only 40% of public high schools in NYC had theater programming. The devastating budget cuts announced July 1st include a roughly 70% reduction in arts education services for middle and high schools.
Schools across the city are having to make very difficult decisions. Opening Act is uniquely positioned to SHOW UP regardless of budget cuts because our programming is FREE.
“Opening Act is a critical partner in our efforts to keep students connected and engaged during this crisis.”
-Marie Polinsky, Principal, District 79

But, in order to make this happen, we need your support as a #P20 Leader.
WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE A #P20 LEADER?
The #POWEROF20 is our annual, grassroots, peer-to-peer fundraising campaign that relies on individuals (like you!) to sustain and strengthen our theater-based youth programming
A #P20 Leader asks 20 friends, family members, colleagues, and acquaintances to make a small donation
“I will take the skills that I’ve learned and move through life with purpose. I will always know that I have a support system with people I can trust.”
