Rachael grew up in a small town in the Midwest where her family taught her the importance of acceptance, generosity, and dependability. While earning a B.A. in Theatre Performance from the University of Missouri Kansas City, she had the chance to perform all over the US. During that time, Rachael saw theatre connecting people from all walks of life, but she wondered if there might be a way theatre could do even more. Upon graduating from college, she headed straight to NYC where she had the opportunity to volunteer for Opening Act. Rachael immediately saw this team infusing theatre with her family values to provide a powerful and consistent force in students’ lives. Rachael continued volunteering for Opening Act for several years while also working for another local, like minded non-profit. Now, Rachael is thrilled to be Opening Act’s Executive Assistant, and she plans to work hard everyday to help the organization impact even more young peoples’ lives. Rachael lives in Manhattan with her super awesome husband, and she serves on the Young Professionals Committee of Kids Creative.
