Taylor is a near-20 year theatre professional who has worked all over the country under various acting auspices. From outdoor to indoor, Shakespeare to Shepard, traveling children’s theatre to in-your-face fringe and regional to off-Broadway, Taylor has seen and been seen a lot.
The last three years has brought significant change for the mustachioed man, as he took on the recurring role-of-a-lifetime: Husband and Father. With this casting came a transition into mostly teaching, directing, and coaching youth, about which he couldn’t be happier. Currently working with arts education organizations such as Cypress Hills Local Development Corporation, Community Word Project, LEAP NY, and Smith Street Stage, Taylor is extremely pleased to join the Opening Act team and investigate further the world of devised theatre and what it means for youth to take ownership of their creativity.
Taylor is a member of Blessed Unrest Theatre Company in NYC, holds a BA in Theatre from Catawba College, an MFA in Acting from Case Western Reserve University, and is continually learning as much as he can from his family, his students, his colleagues and those who don’t even know they are teaching him. He’d like to give thanks for all the applause and applaud all those who give thanks…
