This time last year, when the majority of arts education programs were forced to shutter, we made a bold decision to create virtual stages and provide uninterrupted access to our programs  because… Opening Act always SHOWS UP! We’ve learned a great deal about how to effectively teach, learn, connect, and create virtually (hello mute button and cat filters!), but most importantly, we’ve seen how – even when faced with the intersecting crises of a global pandemic and racial injustice – Opening Act students and alums quickly adapted and continued to create remarkable work.

This year, Opening Act has employed 8 Alumni Act 2 Fellows with 100% placement at virtual internships, and 2 of our Fellows were offered paid positions with their placements!
