Stephanie Anderson is a New York-based actor, improvisor, director and educator with an MA in Educational Theatre from NYU.  After three years of teaching middle school theatre at Dwight-Englewood School, Stephanie is thrilled to be back at Opening Act as a teacher artist and the programs assistant.  Stephanie spent five years teaching theatre at a public high school in China, where she built a theatre program from scratch, teaching multi-tiered classes and directing over a dozen showcases and productions. In New York, Stephanie has taught musical theatre, improv, and devising for programs including NYU’s Looking for Shakespeare, Opening Act, Ping Chong + Company, Story Pirates, and TADA! Youth Theatre.  She can be seen acting with Verbatim Performance Lab and improvising at Magnet Theatre.  Directing credits include The Last 5 Years, Fiddler on the Roof, Beauty and the Beast, You Can’t Take It With You, Annie Jr.Willy Wonka Jr. and Hello, Dolly!  Stephanie will take any opportunity to dance, hunt for tacos, travel to loved ones, or frolic in nature.
