JUNIOR BOARD
ON MAY 12, 2021, OPENING ACT’S JUNIOR BOARD HOSTED A VIRTUAL COCKTAIL PARTY!
Thank you to everyone who attended!
Do It for the Cocktail Culture is a Black- and women-owned brand that drinks, sleep, and breathes Black history. The brand’s mission is to promote Black stories and contributions in celebratory ways. One of the ways they do this is through cocktails. They call their cocktails “Cocktales” because each ingredient helps to tell the story of a historical Black figure or event designed to leave a lasting impact on the drinker and amplify these important narratives.
During the 45-minute event, LaShana Daniels, founder of Do It For The Cocktail Culture and their Libation Librarian, presented The Cat’s Meow Cocktail, inspired by world-renowned performer Eartha Kitt, and The Hot Peaches Cocktail, inspired by activist Marsha P. Johnson. LaShana dove into how the ingredients highlight key aspects and moments in their lives while we all raise a glass to HERstory.
Thank you to everyone who came together to make #OpeningActSocial 2019 a success!
Together, we met our goal of raising $20,000 to support the critical work of Opening Act!
MANY THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO MADE THE SOCIAL 2018 A SUCCESS!
